Humidity Controlling Solutions
Humidity is most often measured by relative humidity, which is the ratio of moisture in the air to the maximum possible saturation of air at a given temperature. The warmer the air is, the more water vapor it can hold. Absolute humidity is the actual amount of water molecules in the air. Humidity plays a major role in food processing packing industries due to the mass production with higher accuracy and quality. Industries like Data center set-ups, Plastic molding & material testing labs have a huge dependency on the humidity level, and if humidity is not controlled then the end user will not be able to deliver with accuracy. We at WCSIPL have more than 10 years of experience in delivering all types of humidity controlling system which can take care of your entire humidity requirement. Humidity can be reduced by Convection, Condensation & Desiccation methods.
We are having Desiccation & Condensation-based controlling solutions. Desiccation methods are generally used for low humidity application & condensation for medium. Desiccation method work on humidity absorption base & condensation condenses the water to reduce it. We are experts in providing both systems to serve all types of applications. We have delivered system to a number of well-known brands like Cadbury, Warana, Renata Precision, Bindu, Nilons, Aditya Birla, Real Namkeen
When Humidity is left Uncontrolled it results in:
- Rust and corrosion
- Mold, mildew and fungal growth
- Reduced shelf lifeCondensation
- Lumping and caking
- Loss of key product characteristics
- Malfunctioning, rejection and production losses
- Inconsistent product quality,
Where is Humidity Controlling Solutions significant?
Humidity Controlling Solutions is significant to various companies like
Pharmaceutical companies- Humidity can cause products to absorb moisture during production and final packaging. Some antibiotic tablets are degraded, and their effectiveness reduced if moisture is absorbed.
Food Processing plant- Beads of moisture can become drips of contamination, with the condensation carrying dirt, microbes, and other contaminants. At best, condensation poses a threat to product quality and, at worst; it could lead to consumer illness and a major recall.
Precision Manufacturing units- If air moisture levels are too high, drying times can be longer than needed, slowing production, losing productivity and increasing energy consumption
Data & UPS Centers- Large fluctuations in humidity can cause circuit boards to expand and contract, damaging circuitry
Hygroscopic material handling industries- The presence of moisture in the air may interfere with the operation of the processing machine, thus obstructing the free and easy movement of the hygroscopic material.
Material testing labs- Humidity causes corrosion problems, electrical failures, accelerates wear on moving parts, and infiltrates plastics and coatings.
Tetra pack application etc- Quality and productivity are essential, and the right humidity plays an essential role in many areas of production
We have expertise in the following humidity controlling sources
Absorption/ Desiccation Dehumidification
This method consists of removing humidity from the air, as hygroscopic materials absorb moisture quickly. The main devices used in this method are absorptive dehumidifiers whose major elements include rotor along with a driving unit, extractor fans, air heater, filter, casing, and fittings.
The rotor is most frequently made of properly profiled aluminum sheets (creating axial capillaries) whose surface is covered with hygroscopic substance. Such a construction results in a large increase of humidity adsorbing area. The rotor is driven by an electric motor by a transmission (belt type most often). The device is divided into a dehumidifying sector and regeneration sector the result of which dehumidified air is achieved behind the rotor. While turning, the rotor causes the humid hygroscopic material gets to the regeneration sector where hot air flows through the rotor to remove humidity that is then sent outside.
2. Condensation Dehumidification
This method consists in removing humidity from the air by cooling it below the dew point which causes outdropping of humidity (condensation). During Cycle fan forces flow of humid air through the evaporator coil. The evaporator temperature is lower than dew point temperature which causes outdropping (condensation) of steam contained in the air on its walls. The condensate is gathered in dehumidifier tank or removed to sewage system or outside. After passing the evaporator, the cooled and dried air flows through a condenser where it is heated. Thanks to this, the value of relative humidity decreases even more. Dry air from the condenser is sent back to the room it comes from.
The effectiveness of condensation dehumidifiers depends on operating conditions (temperature and humidity) and on the type of machines (size, manufacturer). It reaches its maximum value with higher values of temperature and relative humidity. Thus, decreasing of water contents in the air causes a decrease of efficiency of the machines. The specific nature of these machines makes it impossible to use them in temperatures below 0-5°C (depending on a model). Condensation dehumidifying is definitely more effective than and economical than drying by means of heating and ventilating primarily
3. Room Sensible Heat balancing
Only removing moisture is not humidity control, removing moisture contain from air & then this air is required to be settled in the controlling area this humidity we get is appropriate for room condition. We are also using the sensible heating technology to keep the cycle stable. If the cycle is having load fluctuation even then only dehumidification can’t control the humidity it can only reduce it. Most of the client’s requirement is that the room conditions keeps fluctuating so the system that is required to overcome this fluctuation by providing the heat source.
4. Humidifier/ Humidification
In dry areas and in summer due to the climate condition, the humidity is lost, so a system is required to add humidity as per the requirement. A humidifier is a machine that generates the humidity according to the requirement. These types of humidifiers are used in places like greenhouses, cold rooms & areas that require high humidity.
